Scarbie’s Services

I needed to clear up some picks, so I’m putting a list of the services I offer and the costs of them up here, just for sake of ease of use.  I, of course, reserve the right to change things on a whim.  Because I am the Scarbie, and thus fabulous. ^_^

Custom Shapes

Beauty begins beneath the surface.   If you’re sick of shapes that just don’t look quite right, I am available to do full custom shapes, fitted to look perfect with one or two of your favourite skins.  My turn-around on custom shapes is currently 1-2 days depending on RL and SL circumstances.  I can also alter your existing shapes, or add a new face to one of my commercial shapes for you.

  • Full Custom Shape – $3000L.  Shape is provided Mod/Copy/No Trans with the same five alternate shapes that my commercial shapes come with and comes fitted to look best with ONE skin of your choice.
  • Additional Skin Fittings To Custom Shape – $200L per brand.
  • Additional Faces for Commercial A.D. Studios Shapes – $500L + $500L per quarter hour.  EG, the cost of the base shape plus the cost of the alterations.  Provided Mod/Copy with five alternate shapes.
  • Alterations to your existing shape (including skin fittings) – $500L per quarter hour.  Your shape MUST be Mod/Trans.

Note:  For skin fittings, you MUST choose a skin that has demos available.   If it’s a small store, please provide me with a landmark to the store to save me time. :)

Illustration Rates

I illustrate comic books in that ‘real life’ place, and can do stylized portraits of your Second Life avatar on commission.  I can also do them as gifts for people, too.  However, as this is a very time (and resource) consuming process, my rates are in real-world dollars.  I don’t mind being paid in Lindens or by PayPal.  I require a 50% deposit when I accept the commission which is refundable if you withdraw your commission before the initial sketch is completed.  Don’t worry, I’m an honest person, I’ll tell you when I’m about to clock over enough time that the deposit is going to become non-refundable and give you one last chance to withdraw.

My rates are:

  • $30.00 USD – Graphite Sketch (Example)
  • $40.00 USD – Blue Scar Style Ink (Example)
  • $70.00 USD – Full Colour Pin-Up (Example)
  • + $5.00 USD – If you want it formatted for use as a wallpaper as well.

I may include a basic background of my choice, or I may not.  Depends on what I feel suits the avatar in question best, and what I can do within a reasonable amount of time.  The art is provided signed and without watermarks by email, and in world on mounted prims.  However, the art itself is still my intellectual property so it is expressly forbidden to use it for commercial purposes (ie selling it or using it for advertising) without my permission.

Modeling Rates

I’m mostly retired, but I do freelance modeling on occasion.  To make things easier, my rates are $500L per quarter hour, rounded up (within reason).  The cost of items required for a shoot or runway show outside of my extensive wardrobe is the employer’s responsibility.

My rates include access to dozes of different avatar appearances.  I possess more than 600 female skins, more than 50 male skins, dozens of distinctly different shapes and can do customs to requirements.  I possess probably a thousand different sets of hair in any colour your can imagine, and I have an extensive wardrobe of clothing, shoes and other accessories.  Plus, I am very organised, so chanced are good that it wont take me very long at all to get ready for a shoot.

Yes, I may make exceptions for these rates, particularly if working for you will bring me added exposure.  I may accept payment in part in gift vouchers, but I reserve the right to ask for cash instead at my discretion.  If you are a small designer of high quality goods, or a representative of a charity organisation, I may waive my fees altogether just to help you out. Building Rates

I do custom builds, be it for offices, stores, or other things.  As a general rule of thumb, my rates are $500L per 15 minutes once the job has been accepted, but keep in mind that once I’ve got an idea I build fast.  Unless otherwise agreed, I provide my builds untextured or with very basic commercially available textures.  My texture work is done by Alia Whitfield, who has her own rates.

My rates are non-negotiable.  Building takes time, just like everything else, and if you consider my rates in terms of real world dollars they’re very reasonable.  Please, don’t insult me by asking me to work for less.

My most recent major builds were the Adam n Eve Genesis Boutique (which has been modified by the owners since, but the basic structure is still there) and the A.D. Studios main store.

Photography Rates

I’m not a photographer and have no interest in being one.  If you want a photographer, please consider contacting Alia Whitfield, Karr Fall, Vernice Burks, or Ryker Beck.  All are very good photographers, and I’m sure one of them will be able to help you.   I rarely take pictures of anyone besides myself or my models for my blog.
