The Backstory

It’s been a bit of a meh day today for the Scarlia team.  A quiet day for hanging around the skybox meh’ing, or wandering around the beach idly tromping over sandcastles.  So when the call went out that the lurvely and talented upcoming photographer, Miya Triellis, needed a model for a photoshoot she was doing, I decided to answer the call.   Yes, I know that technically I’ve been in retirement from the modeling game for months, but sometimes a girl just wants to look fabulous and sit on a posestand.

Anyway, long story short, the photo shoot lead to me finally indulging in my first Redgrave skin.  I’ve been eyeing them up for a while, and since they were perfect for what Miya needed, I decided to snatch one up.  After the shoot was wrapped, I found myself wandering listlessly around my skybox again, butt naked as is my wont, and still wearing the skin and hair from the shoot.  Necessity lead to clothes, and clothes inevitably led to… fabulosity!  Follow the cut for moar!

Now, I’m sure I’m going to get a railing for using something as “commonplace” as Armidi in assembling this outfit, but sometimes a designer seems to have crawled inside your head, dug around for a bit with a shovel, then yanked a big wad of something delicious, something lovely, and something perfect for *you*.  Armidi’s Cambridge shirts are just my big wad of sticky, delicious brain-goo.  I don’t care who made them.  I don’t buy them just because they have the Armidi name on them.  I couldn’t care less about the brand.  I care because if I were to make a shirt and I had the talent (working on it!  Maybe one day), that’d be what my shirt would look like.  The shorts, I could live without.  The shirt?  My nirvana.

I’m not sure if you can still get the pants from G.L.A.M, but if you can – snatch them up in every colour, because they’re just delicious and fantastic for setting off a business-casual look.  The hair is currently a “freebie” from the MM Skins update group, available in fatpack if you join the group within 2 weeks of the 24th.  I’ve been in the group religiously since before Minnu released her Gen 2 skins, so it was free for me, but there’s a $250L fee to join the group now.  The hair is in her update group in 16 colours, so you just need to decide if this adorable hair is worth $250 for a fatpack.  It was for me!  My advice is to join the group and STAY in it, because Minnu’s a doll about sending out group freebies.  MMS skins and the Tuli Skins update group (which currently has a free fatpack of the luscious new Elizabeth dated 14/08 in the notices, available for the same $250L joining fee) are the two groups I personally always make room to keep.   I love the designers, and they’re so generous that the freebies and group sales are just too good to turn down.

The exclusive Babii pumps are a sad but delicious tale to tell.  Adam n Eve run a regular promotion to reward people for adding their store to their picks, with exclusive shoes.  The gold and black Babiis are no longer available, replaced by the equally exclusive black and white Miranda pumps.  They change the prizes regularly, and once they’re gone, they’re *gone*, so make sure you get them while you can (Informationz).  However!  The delicious Scarlet pumps are available from the Adam n Eve main store.  Go demo them.  Right now.  No wait, finish reading, THEN go demo them, and don’t forget to check out all the other smexy stuff they’ve got there, too!

The jewellery is courtesy of Viva La Glam, as mentioned extensively in my last post.  However, I should mention that the necklace and earrings are not part of their regular line.  I got a little creative with the bangles, and modified them into a choker and hoops.
